Obama: Zika Is Not Ebola-"A Lot Of People Get It And Don't Even Know That They Have It"

Is this the kenyan bastard's justification for bringing in infected "refugees" so they can breed an entire generation of pinhead dems?

...but despite that statement, he’s still asking Congress for emergency funding to fight Zika.

The horrific situation is that this virus has probably been spreading for quite awhile, since it has mild or no symptoms. It spreads in lots of ways. It's probably already causing a decline in aggregate intelligence where there are infected people.

Lose a few IQ points, and society and civilization suffer.

That's probably a statement that's deemed racist, but people have to talk about it. European civilization didn't develop because dumb people got smart ideas.

“Obama downplayed the threat and urged people not to panic.”

Uh oh. Sounds like another Jayvee squad statement.

Zika is nothing.

And it doesn’t cause pinheads.

Speculation has been hyped.

For once, Obama is exactly correct.

Zika is not going to be a big deal for the USA — no more so than as ultimately turned out to be the case with Ebola, West Nile, SARS or H2N2. Just another media scare story.

Hmm, best of my knowledge neither zika or ebola ever crossed into the US ‘till Obama was POTUS. It appears he is about as nonchalant about one as he is the other. If I didn’t know better I’d say he wants Americans to feel the worlds pain through diseases we have never experienced before ....but that can’t be.....can it?

A lot of people get cancer, it grows slowly and people don’t know until its very late. Same thing with other medical conditions can happen they grow so slowly, it becomes normal.

He’s right for once. If you’re not pregnant, it’s not and more threatening than the common cold. If you are pregnant, however, it’s a scary thing because of the effect it can have on the fetus.

as the pandemic grows it is being tied to more cases of adult death due to Guillane Barre type syndrome

Everything I’ve read says that’s at most a tiny fraction. You can find people that die from complications from the common cold too, but it’s not likely enough to worry about.

Before you post this kind of alarmist, unfounded nonsense, you might consider the impact you might have on others.

Yes, hopefully people here will realize someone who can’t even spell Guillain–Barré syndrome might not be the definitive source of information on this topic, and will follow up with their doctor if concerned.

Regarding the link you posted, I could care less what is said on some some random Internet forum, full of non-healthcare professionals, hypochondriacs and alarmists.

Guillain–Barré syndrome is also correlated with cases of food poisoning, but you won’t find me locking myself in a bunker and boiling my meals for an hour afraid that I might be impacted by an auto-immune disease that strikes 1 in 100,000 people.

I tend to agree. We used to get German Measles, i.e., Rubella virus. You’d get a mild rash and a fever and after a few days, it was gone and forgotten. The problem was when pregnant women contracted it, the babies were born with birth defects. This Zika virus seems like something like what Rubella was, but without the itchy rash.
