I agree with you about Trump. I hope he can and will pull off the promises he’s making and that he’s not just tricking us to get into power. But I feel this way about every election.

I don't have an issue with people who support Trump with their eyes wide open. There is a logical argument to be made for supporting him despite some very clear danger flags, and as you implied, we should always question the sincerity of every candidate.

What gets me going is the overly committed groupie mindset of some that Trump is the perfect candidate, and that once in office he'll be the perfect President. That is just delusional.

At the end of the day, I may hold my nose and vote for Trump, but I won't be doing it under any false notion of who or what he is.

And should Cruz get the nomination, I am not certain that he will win in a country that has twice elected Obama. Should Cruz win and become President, I am quite certain that we will have a Constitutionalist in the oval office, which bodes well for SCOTUS appointments and reigning back the bureaucracy. However, with a Congress still packed full of GOPe and Democrats, I am under no illusion that he will role back 100 years of progressive policies during his 4-8 years.

My current appraisal is that Trump doesn't have the majority support to put him in the win zone. Thus, we will go to a brokered convention where neither Cruz nor Trump have much of a chance. The ensuing crap storm will destroy the Republican Party and President Clinton strolls in.
