I would be willing to be that you are wrong on that. Cruz is smart, and Spanish is not that difficult to learn. I would be very surprised if he has not been working on it assiduously, but quietly, for years. He also wouldn’t make a big thing about it because it’s a hole card.I agree. I don't fault Cruz for responding to Rubio in Spanish. He wasn't pandering to anyone. Rubio threw down the challenge and Cruz called his bluff. Had Rubio not made that statement, we would not have heard any Spanish from Cruz last night.
