Was that supposes to be a slam? Meaning that people who do not speak Spanish are somehow inferior?
Either that or he is not aware of translators.
“Meaning that people who do not speak Spanish are somehow inferior?”
That’s what I got from it. Cruz had a chance to call him out on that, but he let his ego get in the way and he had to show off his Spanish.
Rubio was saying that he didn’t know spanish because Rubio had a Spanish forum and Cruz did step in it when he mentioned the spanish show. This won’t get any traction. I feel like I speak Spanish because I can walking into McDonalds and order a cheeseburger, french fires and large coke. Cruz probably has a few phrases he can say but Rubio was probably right that he can’t speak Spanish fluently.
Its like calling a black an uncle tom if they are conservative.
The latinos that are pro La Raza and want plenty of illegal immigration try that in Miami all the time, refuse to speak English at all.
Rubio proved he is latino first with that remark.
Cruz proved he is American first.

Rubio was talking about this: When Cruz' opponent in 2012 wanted to debate in Spanish, Cruz refused, saying he barely spoke Spanish at all.
The consensus was he was afraid to offend the Anglos in the population.
