Unfortunately, he seems to be the best alternative right now. And I have significant, severe concerns with him being pro-choice until fairly recently, all those ‘Rat donations, support of PP, while only recently differentiating which PP functions he supports...
I accept that someone could have evolved with their views, morphing into someone that could be described as a “moderate conservative”.
I also have concerns with his persona. Gigantic ego, which must be fed constantly. An immature emotional intelligence.
I get the sense that he thinks he is smarter (a better dealmaker) than everyone else in the room.
I have real problems with him blaming W for the WTC coming down. I have real problems with him stating that the Bush Administration “lied us into war”, given what we know now.
I get the sense that he is not familiar with the Bible and has only passing familiarity with Christianity in general.
However, I believe Elmer Cruz to be worse. I believe Cruz to be a wolf in sheep’s clothing. His current behavior is really inexcusable.
Trump has done some very good, very generous things over the years, in many cases quietly so he doesn’t get the blowing horns announcing what he has done.
I am reconsidering (again) my support for him. But I see no viable alternative. Rubio, Yeb, Cruz, Kasich are all worse.
Would that a true leader steps up.
