My recollection of “anti-war fervor” of the time was that it came from the far left and Pat Buchanan.
I think it is very peculiar that Trump is focusing on Bush, not Obama. Haven’t we had a President for 8 years? Does Trump think that Obama has done everything right in the Middle East? Does he think Obama has done everything right in regards to Muslims and Islam? If not, why not go after Obama?
I know, Trump is BRILLIANT.
More “bloviating” to fill up his hourly radio time. Rush, like hundreds of other talking heads has an OPINION and they all think they are right. Problem is they are frequently WRONG but to arrogant to admit they were indeed, WRONG!
Let the dust settle and we will see who comes out on top, my guess his name will start with a “T”
He’s not the only one opposed. We had lots of free republic members who were and many of libertarian persuasion which was what they believed
He’s focusing on it to demonstrate it was wrong and a dead end for which we gained nothing. He’s probably right about that. He was also just bashing bush.

I didn’t and don’t think it was wrong. If we gained nothing, blame Obama.
“He was also just bashing bush.” By all means, bash Jeb Bush. Bash him on his position on illegal immigrants. Bash him wherever he can fairly and sensibly Bash him. Attacking GW Bush on Iraq is a bash on the GOP (Trump’s party?) and a bash on America.
