Concealed carry permits help police officers, civilians stay in the fight

Concealed carry permits help police officers, civilians stay in the fight

In the past month, criminals have murdered six police officers in the line of duty. The number might have been eight if not for the actions of two concealed handgun permit holders.

At this rate, police deaths could be way up this year compared to previous years. By this time last year, only one officer had been murdered. While Republican presidential candidates such as Cruz, Rubio and Trump have spoken out forcefully about police shootings, Democrats have been silent.

You've probably heard on the news when at least one of these officers has been killed. But you almost certainly haven't heard about concealed handgun permit holders stepping forward to protect officers.

-- Last month, a drunken man attacked a deputy sheriff near Austin, Texas. As the deputy relates what happened, “I remember thinking 'stay in the fight. Just keep fighting, keep fighting. Do whatever you can do, just stay alive you need to go home.'" The deputy ended up having his gun taken away from him. Fortunately, a concealed handgun permit holder pointed his gun at the attacker and ordered him to "freeze!" "I'm alive today because of [the permit holder]," said the deputy. "There are no words to explain it. He's such an outstanding citizen."

Mr. Lott is so right. More good people with guns measurably makes for a safer society.

“Concealed carry permits help police officers,” verify
who has guns and where they may be found. They also
help the police decide whether SWAT or other forms of
military force will be needed for search and arrest warrants.

A permit to exorcise a God given constitutional right is
an infringement on that right and anyone who supports it
supports fascism because that is “what it is”.

“More good people with guns measurably makes for a safer society.”

“In the past month, criminals have murdered six police officers in the line of duty. The number might have been eight if not for the actions of two concealed handgun permit holders.”

So lets let the federal and state government decide who those “good people” are and limit who can come to a police officers aid.
In this day and age when you can loose your right to
possess a firearm simply for pissing off a TSA agent,
people, good people, are all in for the a national gun
database that allows those the government deems “good people” to exorcise their constitutional right.

However, on the other hand, I could make an argument about
how small arms or anything that is not military grade, doe’s
not come under 2nd amendment constitutional protections.

Well, you’re preaching to the choir. I think even violent felons released from prison should be able to carry a gun. Those with bad intentions are going to acquire them if they want and those ready to live right need to protect themselves from even their old “friends”.

The less the government has to do with whether or not ANYONE has a gun, the more there will be good people with guns.

Is this where you’re coming from?
