I really think it’s ego driving him. He’s getting old and wants some form of immortality. They can take his name off of the buildings, but if he becomes President he’ll be remembered forever.
So then you suggest what? FR should only accept articles posted from a dozen pro-Trump blogs and Breitbart.com? (until they turn on Trump ofc)
Or should we devolve into a site were you can still post articles from other sources but the entire comments section shall be a chorus of “why did you post this trash?”

Great, except that the Iraq War was sold on the threat of nuclear wmds. Not biological or chemical. I haven’t forgotten that dire talk about mushroom clouds over American cities.

Look, there’s plenty of evidence more could have been done to prevent 9/11 from happening. The Cole and the 93 tower bombing weren’t exactly ambiguous overtures. Had W reeled back his “compassionate conservatism” a tad and clamped down on likely suspects -like Trump is proposing- who knows, maybe it wouldn’t have happened.
Still, Trump is not blaming Bush, and Cooke is smart enough to know it.

Oh, I didn’t write the article, so I didn’t “smear” Trump with MM or CP. I was careful to not express an opinion. But I know you weren’t suggesting that I was doing a smear.

In 2003, Saddam didn’t have WMDs but he said he had them because he wanted to appear tough to Shi’ites in Iraq and the Iranians. We know from what happened with the Arab Spring of what happens to a dictator once he gets overthrown by his subjects.

To make things worse, once we invaded Iraq, we banned Ba’thist Party from power in Iraq. We could had picked one of Saddam’s Generals and the country would be more like Egypt with Sisi in charge. All those Sunni Insurgents would had kept their jobs as soldiers in the Iraqi Army and they wouldn’t had established the core of the Sunni Insurgency which manifests itself in the Islamic State today.
I just provided you above some evidence that he DID in fact have WMDs then. Maybe not nukes, but at least chemical, if not also biological.
