Whose fault is that?
Anyone who availed themselves of free babysitting at a public school. You get what you pay for, now your kids have free cheese for brains.
Socialized education. It wasn’t compulsory. Yet most American parents just had to have that second job, that bigger house, that second car, and those free psycho-nannies minding the kids.
They’re already brainwashed, so easy pickings for Red Bernie.
And no one sees it that way. Some of the most politically conservative people I know were quite offended that we pulled our kids out of public school. In many small towns the school is the heart of the community-it has replaced the church and even the family. The school is where kids are taught values, it’s where kids and adults fellowship (sports and community Ed classes), it is where funds are raised for charity(booster clubs plus classes take on actual charities for a project) and it’s where kids eat breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack in the after school child care.
Go to a school campus after school hours and it will be teeming with activity for those of all ages. Adults will volunteer hours and hours of their time and labor for special projects. They all worship at the local government institution-their lives revolve around it.
