IF Cruz is Jesus sent, why did Jesus stay out of NH. I get tired of people treating Jesus as their personal possession.
Not a bad read, but it seems like it was written primarily to educate leftists. Sadly, they will probably never read it.
I always thought having an evangelical as President would be fine even though I am a Catholic, but Cruz is not the right evangelical. His sermons are so out of touch......saying he was hand chosen by God. Really? Cruz is a snake oil salesman. He would be perfect as head of a megachurch. I bet it would be pretty crowded. I would think he would be happy to do it. Probably make more money too. He picked the wrong career. I hope we help him lead him to his natural career as a pastor. Hopefully 2018 will guide him in the right way.

I thought he was Catholic.
“the unfortunate effort afoot to make them the political boogeyman.”
I don’t think there is an “effort”, I think some Christians are doing it themselves. All evangelicals do not think alike and they especially do not act alike.
As a Christian, I’m not voting for someone just because you tell me to vote for them because you are a Christian.
When the term ‘evangelical’ is used by political types, it does not have a defined meaning. It’s usually based on those who self-identify as ‘evangelical’ when polled. Sometimes it’s based on members of certain denominations, whether they self-identify that way or not.
It might be interesting, but it is in no way conclusive.
On the other hand the muslims are openly advocating for their theocracy in our nation. And few dare to take them to task over it for fear of extreme violence.
Thanks for the post!
To my mind an evangelical is a Christian who wants to share his faith and not hide it under a bushel.
They arrive at the number of evangelicals by adding up the membership of certain Protestant denominations and some number of conservative Catholics. I don’t think it means much. Those numbers will catch some truly devout Christians, as well as large numbers of folks in pews because it’s better for business, or for better for political office.
It’s safe to say that those considered evangelicals encompass a wide range of people who attend church for a wide range of reasons and motives.
