And when you think about it, it all makes sense. Those who immigrate legally probably have a high likelihood of assimilating and blending well into society. That is, they probably begin their perspective with a respect for the rule of law, self-reliance, hard work, etc.

On the other hand, those who come here illegally and under the cloak of night are probably much more likely not to respect societal values or the rule of law. Their frame of reference is that they can do what they want as long as they remain in the shadows. These people have little interest in contributing to society. They are more interested in selfish pursuits and grabbing what they can get. Of course, the Democrat Party appeals greatly to them to enhance their cover and pledge more free stuff from others to them.

Yep. The extent of my wife’s “cultural isolation” is that sometimes she buys some groceries at the Brazilian store to make traditional Brazilian food.

And thank God for that... it’s delicious! :)
