How much money has Donald Trump donated to the veterans? That seemingly simple question has anything but a simple answer. When Trump held his January 28 fundraiser for the vets after backing out of the Republican debate in Iowa, his campaign wasnât shy about sharing the good news: Trump had helped raise more than $6 million, including $1 million of his own money, for an undeclared number of veterans' organizations over the course of one hour.
But weeks later, following Trump's second-place finish in the Iowa caucuses and his victory in the New Hampshire primary, and just days before he's set to win in South Carolina, it sure is difficult to figure out how much of that $6 million has been disbursed to groups, and to whom. Some veterans' organizations are just starting to receive their checks, others are still waiting, and nobody involved seems to know what to expect next.
On Thursday, I contacted the Donald J. Trump Foundation by email with a few questions .........................................................
The Trump Foundation had published a list (promoted in a press release on the Trump campaign website) shortly after the January 28 event that listed 22 veterans groups benefitting from the fundraiser. I've contacted all of them and have so far heard back from nine. Those who spoke with me said their appearance on that list was the first word they had heard they would be receiving a donation. And for some, that was the last they've heard, too.

Who is expecting a check?
Not all veterans groups were getting money, I remember Trump saying he was going to give it to a few groups that were good at dispersing the most money without large administration costs (dipping for personal enrichment).
Anyone with the most remote connection to fundraising and receiving donations knows that six months is about the average time it takes for a donation to go from announcement to actual delivery. I know you couldn’t resist the chance to smarm out Trump, but what you mostly did was show your true colors and lack of understanding about what you wrote about.
Trump University
LOL!
I appreciated reading such an unbiased article. /S
We did receive a check from the Stewart J. Rahr Foundation, and they share the same floor with the Trump Foundation,” David adds. Rahr, a pharmaceutical executive-turned-Manhattan-playboy, is friends with Trump and rents office space in the Trump Tower.
So you’re sure this is not another Trump University?
If your link isn’t worth posting as its own article, then don’t pass it around as a reply with its flimsy innuendo... I know these are tough times for Cruz supporters but reach for a little dignity, please, months from now you’ll be glad you did.
I’m sure that you and your posts don’t further the discussion and certainly won’t change anyone’s mind but hey spend your time doing what makes you feel good.
I’m still laughing because Mr Single Payor 2000 was too afraid of a girl to go to a debate. So, he showed his inner Barack by throwing a rock party while everyone else was dealing with national interests. Truth is, the debates reveal his lack of depth on serious topics. When questions go beyond his prescribed talking points, he shows his inner Barack by stumbling, mumbling and anything but jump in the deep waters. Then he deflects with his ad hominems.
Are you saying, as Trump did of his supporters, that he could shoot someone and not lose any support? If so, I realize you are his true believer.
If you took the time to inform yourself, or cared about accuracy and veracity, you would know the context of that quote was Trump quoting what others said about his supporters, not his personal feelings. But what’s a little thing like context, especially in the world of Cruz.

Keep in mind the money was pledged not cash in hand of large amount of money. It isn’t as simple as just sending a check out to the charities.
and he precedes the example with the words “they say”. This game is getting tiresome. Think I’ll seek my own level if you don’t mind.
But hold on here...we’re talking superman....we’re talking a virtual accomplishment get things done god......if he can’t give away money in six months, how the hell is he going to build a wall in four years?
Trump Vodka
Trump Air
USFL
and on and on......
Maybe it has more to do with bureaucratic mazes, regulations and reporting guidelines. Maybe, as he said, he is doing some major vetting. Notice wounded warriors wasn’t one of the chosen. Why can’t Cruz supporters ever talk about Trump in anything but disdainful terms? Says more about you than him.
I don’t know who’s injected more vitriol - was it Cruz in Iowa, or NH or South Carolina with his dirty tricks, photoshopping, shaming mailers, and dirty ads? For you to whine about supporters carrying the mantle of their leader, when Ted Cruz is considered the messianic face of God by his followers, and believe, per Beck, that Scalia was made to die by God to pave the way for a Cruz victory, is quite rich as you put it. Your hinge to reality and reasonableness is just a little rusty. Give up.
