I found a source for Cruz's past statements about the Confederate flag. In the New York Times, on June 20, 2015, Michael Barbaro wrote an article under "Campaign 2016" summarizing some candidate views about the Confederate flag issue. Cruz is quoted as saying it was up to South Carolina to decide. Then he said two different views. One which could be quoted to one side of the issue. One to the other.
Thus, the robocall was misguided. It isn't an issue where Cruz clearly stood in favor of the Confederate flag, in fact seemed to acknowledge that he wasn't going to disagree with Nikki Haley.
That oily, blobby, lawyerly thing is what is going to kill of the ooze campaign.
I just read that Beck is fasting for ooze. If these people were serious, they would go full flagellant.
