He has also said the ranchers caught up in the protest in Burns, Oregon are victims of federal land policy.

Trump will likely take a look at it and decide policy on a case-by-case basis.

Because it is true that pawning land off from one government to another may not solve the problem, in fact, may make it worse.

I think he will hear from the ranchers and make decisions that put their needs in perspective.

Ranchers? Rednecks? Getting support from the eminent domain king? I don’t think so...the man is a hypocrite and an opportunist without any sense of morality or honor.

Didn’t make news here but the Scot redneck would not be budged and was given an award for his perseverance.

Trump had the homes within view of his “greatest golf course in the world” (lost money last 3 years) blocked with trees and piles of dirt. Now those who have lived there for 40 years cannot see the “preservation” dunes and ocean.

Susan, 59, has been penned in too - with a 10ft mound of earth with trees on top blocking her once-expansive view.

What does he do later? He sues the Scottish government when they want to put up windmills within view from the course because it would take away from the pleasure of the view from his course.

“He alleged in the judicial review that his own human rights had been breached, because the windfarm, which is funded by the European commission and supported by many local organisations which had also backed Trump’s golf resort, interfered with his “peaceful enjoyment of his property”.”

I agree....Ranchers and Farmers and everyone who has a deal with the Feds.

The other issue is protecting owls, frogs, snail darters....to the tune of what comes down to as "confiscating" millions of acres and not a dime spent.

Kill the EPA...on day 1.

I listened VERY closely to Trump on this issue, his kids also, his kids are avid hunters says the FEDS have done a horrible job of taking care of the lands and it heeds to be changed!!! Trump stated that EPA is destroying lands, not thinning the forests, ect. I can see things both ways, I DO BELIEVE though that Trump knows the ranchers leasing these lands WILL care for them because it is their livelihood and business to do so!!! Trump WILL always side with hard working ranchers his core belief is hard work deserves being rewarded!!!

It sounds as though you are suggesting that Trump has made a policy statement that he will shortly be walking back once he has done the actual research on the topic.

We’re used to it now.

Ready.
Fire.
Aim.
Fire again.

I think I will take Trump at his word rather than what you hope he thinks. Though I like how you think.

I’m confident that the state government of Colorado would turn such land into revenue sources for themselves, and I would not be allowed to hunt or fish on it.

He is not being too successful at coming up with nuanced answers to complex problems. He caught heck for his very generalized answer to a very specific question about nuclear armament policy. But at least, unlike Barry Goldwater, who still managed to be nominated Presidential candidate, he did not say anything about “Lobbing one into the men’s room at the Kremlin.”
