Why did the post office raise rates again this year?

Because their unfunded pension liabilities are approximately the size of the Venezuelan National Debt.

“Why did the post office raise rates again this year?”

Because they want to drive Small Home Business Mail Order Operators out of business and into the welfare roles. International rates took a huge hit. Add in the strong dollar, not sure I survive.

Not to pick nits, but the USPS unfunded liabilities are "only" about $55 billion, but the Venezuelan national debt is about $266 billion...but I get your point. ;-)
