I have a feeling those complaining are Rubio and Cruz supporters.

Yes, people just looking for an excuse why Cruz is losing.

Also, the twitter screenshots shared above, if you check the girl’s twitter feed, she goes on to say the problems were smoothed over after an official showed up.

LOL, I like how Cruz supporters are just so desperately clinging to pictures of people with t-shirts on. THEIR LACK OF KNOWLEDGE MEANS THIS IS FRAUD!!

No one has ever even suggested Cruz would win Nevada. This all just looks so sad and contrived, like every other attempted Cruz “gotcha” tactic. It’s just silly at this point.

Yeah, I read that. I thought you were goofing a bit. So much vitriol so I liked your spoofing. But yes, a primary format seems much cleaner, though I am told you can just vote and bolt.

Are you sure you’re at the right website?

To vote here - I just did a bit ago, but it’s always been this way - you have to have government picture ID, the worker has to find your name in the precinct log, you have to sign into that and then you get your ballot.

I was a trained voting officer (Judge) in Cumberland Co, North Carolina, during the last election. It is a bipartisan operation... when the Democrats owned NC, they had 2 of 3 judges to include the Chief Judge at each precinct. I would imagine that the caucasus’ are conducted by trained volunteers. Party or candidate ID should not be visible. However, this is not an election but rather a situation where delegates to the convention are going to be handed out. In some states those delegates are not sworn to those who win them, but can be given to whomever desired at the Party’s convention.... Just my two cents.

Glenn Beck was wearing CRuz gear....just feet away from the caucus goers.

Maybe NV is different, than say TX, and wearing candidate gear, within the voting area, is allowed.

"No, here in NV government picture ID is required to vote."

In the general, it is.

For the caucus, it's not.

I have always lived in a state with actual primaries and imo all 50 states should do it that way. And require a picture ID to vote.

Over at Red State, they got the full story with numerous pictures of poll workers wearing Trump hats

Redstate's not in any way shape or form honest when it comes to Trump. Their hatred for him is visceral, and they are actively trying to derail him.

Not at my voting place. They checked IDs and we had to sign next to our name on the voter rolls.

I think someone is putting out false info

Yes, it is. It was required from me three hours ago to vote.

One special snowflake in a blizzard.

Funny how I've seen this same content on other tweets, IIRC.

FYI, you are allowed to campaign for your candidate at the caucus. Last time, the LDS church/Romney people were running the caucuses. When I checked in to vote, they handed me a Romney sticker and a brochure. But we had a secret ballot, and Newt carried our precinct. This time, like last time, our caucus was perfectly orderly and above board, nothing suspicious whatsoever, IDs were checked, you had to sign for your ballot, and you turned it into your precinct when you were finished; care was taken to preserve the secrecy of your ballot. And people did discuss in line right up to the point where they signed in, the strengths and weaknesses of their preferred candidates. I think there is a lot of lying going on about this, and we are being smeared.

The ballot shortages appear to be real, which is probably gonna be a thing everywhere, since turnout is so high (go us!) this year.

http://edition.cnn.com/2016/02/23/politics/nevada-caucus-republican-problems/index.html

Looks like everything else is being handled for the most part. No official reports of any fraud, discrepancies being investigated, etc.

I agree that primaries seem a lot less of a pain than this, but apparently some people prefer the caucus because it’s “more democratic” (I have yet to hear a good explanation of how, though).

Also I read the other day that the Nevada GOP is kind of an underfunded mess. IIRC last year it took a week to get the results fully certified, but Mitt won with like 50% so it wasn’t really newsworthy to sit on pins and needles waiting.

I used to work the elections here in Ohio, easy $100 and allowed me to observe the political system up close and personal. After observing several irregularities over two elections, I brought these irregularities to the election officials and was told to mind my own business.

I no longer work elections and have little faith in election the results.
