Based on the rules for assigning delegates, if Cruz does not get at least 50% of the vote he is finished. And thanks to your posting, we can see he is not even close. LOL!

Be careful of creating high expectations. If Cruz does not win by 15% or higher, is it a loss?

No freaking way. Trump has Texas in the bag. He’s going to be in Fort Worth on Friday, I may go. Hubby already has tickets.

“Cruz leads Trump by double digits in Texas poll”

not exactly. here’s a composite poll average of several polls which are probably just a wee bit more accurate than the Houston Public Media and the University of Houston Hobby Center for Public Policy; it has Cruz ahead by 8:

besides, Texas is a proportional GOP delegate allocation state.

Cruz will luz.

Take a look at the guy. He's a luzer.

Cruz will never be President. He's just not likeable.

He might be a Supreme Court Justice however...if Trump appoints him.

Houston Public Media and the University of Houston Hobby Center for Public Policy
Yeah, that's a MAJOR poll! Maybe you can find another NBC/WSJ poll that has him in the lead too.

I looked at the Cruz campaign schedule.
Almost all the events leading up to ST are in Texas.
Obviously he’s a “lock” there.

What about the other 12 states?

According to Real Clear Politics the latest Emerson poll has Trump within 1 point of Cruz in Texas.

To me Real Clear Politics tends to be correct. Here is the link. Look at the date of the latest poll.

When the Big Money and Chamber of Global Commerce talks and says we need more cheap labor and more H1Bs, both Cruz and Rubio will roll over, bark woof woof, and beg on all fours for another biscuit. The only thing they know since they don’t have billions of their own, is how to play puppet boy to the donors and globalists.

Considering Cruz's new strategy is to begin the insult campaign against Trump as his last resort, it doesn't seem he has a solid plan to win many of the states on Super Tuesday.

It would be preferable to have a 2 man race with Cruz so the talking heads and GOPe will go bat crap crazy, but it looks like Rubio will hold that spot.

It is really amazing that Cruz is doing so poorly.

Cruz is polling 35% in his home state?

Not good (for him).

Most people are still undecided.

Well, this site says:

“The poll of 415 likely Republican primary voters in Texas was conducted by telephone from Feb. 12-22. The margin of error is plus or minus 4.8 percentage points. “

But as I noted on the other thread, the polling website indicates that it was a collection of republicans, all voters in a general election, and all registered voters.

” with two samples of eligible voters by the University of Houston Hobby Center for Public Policy’s Survey Research Center. The first sample (N=315) included registered voters who voted in one of three elections including the 2008, 2012 Republican Primary election and the 2015 General election. The second sample (N=100) included all other registered voters (i.e. those who did not vote in two or more of the selected elections). Results are reported for the combined samples. “
http://www.houstonpublicmedia.org/news/politics/election-2016/

Looks like Politico might have read a press release instead of what the pollers actually said.

I love it when a plan comes together, Cruz "wins" Texas, Trump adds to His delegate count, and extends his lead while Cruz and Rubio fight for best loser.
