DALLAS - Six days before Super Tuesday, Ted Cruz and Donald Trump are now tied in Texas, according to a new public opinion poll commissioned by WFAA-TV.
Cruz and Trump both had 32 percent support from likely and actual GOP primary voters, with a 3.9 percent margin of error.
It is the most recent survey of Texas voters and the first one to show Cruz no longer leading in his home state.

Hot off the Presses—Go Trump Go!!
I was told on another thread that Trump supporters don’t believe in polls when I mentioned that he loses to Hillary head to head. Just pick which ones you like, I guess.
Yes. GO TRUMP GO
Woot Woot WOOOOOOOT!
All aboard!
Trump has been overperforming every poll and momentum is on his side.
Reagan at this point was probably 20 points behind Carter.
Is the the 100th time a Texas, ‘Cruz is tied or ahead’, poll was posted, or the 102, I lost count?
It’s been annoying to hear the MSM assume that people automatically vote for their home state candidate.
It shows a pretty low estimate of the voters (as well as not being true).
Were you informed that hillary just had to change her depends?
I know many in Texas. Cruz blew hi foot off with Dirty tricks, he is foreign born and not eligible and he is a horrible liar — Carson / rineo tricks. Many have lost respect for cruz. They will just stay home or vote for the Wall ( which we all want) .
Anyone can go to RCP on Texas polls and see over the past 9 months Cruz has lost support in Texas primary
Some of that is inevitable
Some is The Balding Saxon
Do you believe in polls?
I remember how Bush beat the crap out of Clinton in the February 1992 general election.
It looks like tough going for Cruz. I am sure he will end up winning his home state, but dang, it probably won’t be by much, maybe a couple of points. Granted a win is a win, but just a short while back Cruz was expected to take Texas ands all those juicy delegates by more than 50%. Now is looks as thought Trump is nipping at the heels and is looking to deprive Cruz of some of those tasty Texas delegates.
I don’t think Trump will sweep the SEC, but he will more in likely win enough states (I am seeing estimates of 8?) that it will give the appearance of winning. And that carries more mojo than second place participation speeches.
Not getting into the Cruz NBC eligibility thing, but I wonder if all of his senate voters in Texas knew he was a born in Canada-Canadian citizen. I always liked Cruz, but I didn’t know he was born in Canada. I just figured he was a Texan that had tamed his drawl.
Trump ahead 45 percent to 43 percent against Hillary:

Polls have shown not to be very reliable. I believe the election poll- the only result that counts.
