Assuming the Democrats solve their power struggle before the summer, could be.
Obama had the luxury of defining Mittens in people’s minds long before he became the nominee.
Hillary has no such freedom, leaving a freshly anointed Trump to define her in people’s minds long before she becomes the nominee.
And Democratic turnout has been middling at best.
Yeah Rubio really blew it. After going on the attack in this excited high pitched tone about Trump supposedly lacking specifics in his Health Care plan Rubio ends his tirade sneering “erasing lines around states...what does that even mean?”
Trump then calmly respond by schooling young Rubio on how competition in health insurance would work. I guess we can understand why Rubio would be confused we haven’t had real competition in the US Healthcare Insurance system for almost as long as Rubio has been alive. While Trump is making a clear concise case for his plan, Rubio interrupts with “Yes I know all that it is in my plan”
Those kind of exchanges may make political reporter all excited but it leave average voters going “Huh, 30 seconds ago you did not know what it meant NOW it is “part of your plan”?
“Ruibot” earned his unflattering tag again last night. Great as long as he is not forced off script. Once he is forced off script he looks flustered and uncertain. Of the many things voters look for in a President, flustered and uncertain are not two of them.
Exactly what is Cruz’s plan?
He nor Rubio had one last night. Nor have I ever heard any more than them copying what Trump says.
“...belittle his supporters....”
Lot of that going around... from all sides. Too much.
Folks seem to have forgotten what the goal is...repairing our Country.
What, bring them down to your level? Doubtful...
Yep—nothing vaguely presidential about Rubio last night.
If you believe the polls are exaggerating his strength, look at Nevada.
He overperformed his poll showing of 45% by better than 1% point.
In reality, Trump looks stronger than on paper. And as the field dwindled, his opponents support has shrunk.
As it stands right now, neither Cruz nor Boobio stand a chance of being nominated.
That's exactly the impression most voters (to the extent that they didn't tune out completely after the first couple of rounds of this) will take away. Either that or a Dad dealing with two unruly children competing for attention.
Cruz's brow-beating forensic style (And I would note that...) was grating, while Rubio's hyper-kinetic yipping was just annoying. Carson and Kasich came across as the only other adults in the room.
After watching last night's performance, and combined with Trump's remarks yesterday about looking for someone with political experience as a running mate, it's starting to look like a Trump/Kasich ticket is in the making. Trump was cordial to the governor, and Kasich would serve the traditional VP role in the general of "balancing the ticket" and helping to deliver a key swing state (OH).
Yes, with Rubio rattling away about plans plans plans I was waiting for Trump to say:
"Guys like you, little government people, little student senators, all you ever do is plan.
"I get things done!"
Playing Buddha doesn't work.
Well you c;ear;u did not listen to the debate and are merely repeating your campaign email talking points.

So Trump stood up for himself and is a hero.........after weeks of relentless attacks, being called liars, ugly faces, mediocre surgeons, blah, blah, they go after Trump, they are called bullies and the really rich part “HE STOOD UP FOR HIMSELF AND WON”
The big story of the night took place after the debate. The Cruz interview with Jake Tapper revealed that Cruz is part of the GOPe. He essentially endorsed his “friend” Marco as being more qualified to be President than Trump. So now it is the political class against the real outsider.
If there is a brokered convention, you can be assured that Cruz will side with Rubio against Trump. Cruz is a fraud.

It’s been there forever, just like his plan has been out for public consumption forever.
Hey, while you’re there, go ahead and make a donation.
I trust God. He always wins. Trump only gets a plurality. When is Mano-a-Moutho conservatives will get the last laugh.
And here is what you clearly don’t get. He NEVER has anything other than the same non-specific BS. Rubio (for once) was right: Trump’s got 5 phrases...that’s it.
And the trumpeters swallow it hook, line and sinker. I’m sorry, but I require more for the most powerful position on earth...especially when the man in question has such a shady past.
That plurality has grown.
He’s 42% in some polls, 50% in a few.
For a guy with a lot of negatives, he has Teflon armor.
Like Ronald Reagan.
When Cruz takes Texas 1 March or Rubio takes Florida then it boils down to Mano-a-Moutho and Trump gets his whatevers nailed to the wall.
True, both are easily demonstrated to be ineligible.
The last poll in FL showed Boobio being crushed by The Donald.
Cruz is expected win TX but not by 50% to capture all the state’s delegates.
