None of this matters because it does not take into account the uniqueness of Palm Beach as an International Winter Playground. Far too many locals are simply not qualified. in addition, many are not willing to work part time and would rather stay on unemployment until they find a full time job.
The “Season” in Palm Beach begins a slow buildup beginning in November to a peak in February and March with a tail off depending when Easter falls, early or late in April. Depending on “off season” bookings for group or corporate meetings and wedding packages or other extra-season demands, a year around employment is impossible for many establishments beyond their base employees. Therefore, “Height of Season”—the time of greatest need of service personnel is about 90 days, max....with “Season” employment which could last from some date on the “front end” late October or into November, to the “End of season”, last of April or maybe, even through May. Trump was absolutely correct with both dates. Cruz is yammering about something he has no knowledge of. Many multilingual or bilingual persons are employed in the winter in the town of Palm Beach, where Mar A Lago is located. Top end businesses have many foreign (European)visitors, French and English being the preferred combo of languages. In Europe, if one speaks French and English, one can go anywhere and be understood. In the People business, the establishment must cater to its guests, their wants and needs are priority if one is to be successful. Worth Avenue is a World Famous Shopping Street along with Fifth Avenue, the Champs Elysee, Rodeo Drive, etc. What works in Anytown, U.S.A. doesn’t work in Palm Beach.

Well if true, THAT my friend, is the argument of many of those employers EVERYWHERE ELSE ( California, New York, etc. )

So, given that we DO have such need, why not pass a law TEMPORARILY employing such people from Mexico and other countries the way we did in the past ( e.g. the BRACERO PROGRAM )?

And stop all these rhetoric about “taking jobs away from Americans”

It does not matter about season, international visitirs or anything else, the question is if trumps gardeners are illegals then he is breaking the law just as they are, making his immigration program worth exactly what the hot air is worth coming out of his mouth.
