Why is a journalist a Democrat with a byline? It is IMHO actually quite understandable. In contrast to T. Roosevelts Man in the Arena speech - which says, It is not the critic who counts, journalists are critics. The extreme statement of the perspective that only the critic counts comes right out of the Democrat (socialist) playbook: You didnt build that! Naturally journalists and Democrats are simpatico.
The other consideration about journalists is the fact that they all project the same political perspective because, as Adam Smith put it,
People of the same trade seldom meet together, even for merriment and diversion, but the conversation ends in a conspiracy against the public. . . and journalists meet together, virtually, on an ongoing and continuous basis via the medium of the Associated Press. And other wire services as well. Any potential hint of ideological diversity among journalists is systematically suppressed.Journalists actually think of themselves as being objective, which is a telltale indication that they are not anything close to actual objectivity. They arent even trying to be objective, if they actually think they already are objective.
There is a much simpler explanation: The more power a democratic govenment can wield, the more profitable is the power to sway majority opinoin.
