As much sophomoric rhetoric flying around about Cruz, he’z a good guy, a strong Christian and conservative.

They call this the “silly season” in politics for a reason.

Just so happens, Trump plays the game better than most.

One of the most sensible utterances here on FR I have read in a month.

All true. But in The general election, the MSM and Clintons will go after whomever is our Republican nominee worse than this. We ALL know it. better for the candidates to get used to it now, adapt, and learn how to respond now.

I was very skeptical about Trump’s run.
He’s a natural.
I’ve never seen anything like it.
I’ve never seen anyone campaign like he does or harder than he does.
He’s running to win.

Just so happens, Trump plays the game better than most.

During the last debate, my wife and I said to each other: "Trump does this better than anyone else up on that stage."

And we were commenting on his debate performance but also on his entire political campaign. The guy is in the real estate business!! He dipped his toe into politics and he's creaming everyone else. Jeb Bush? The entire Bush family? Trump made mincemeat of him. Chris Christie? Rubio? Cruz? In terms of their political skills, they are not in Donald's league.

Now, one may say that Trump's ideas are not good, or perhaps that Cruz is a better Conservative. There is opportunity for legitimate disagreement on these points. But -- dealing with the press? Campaign stops? Turning political debates in the direction he wants rather than what the moderator wants, or what another candidate wants? Trump has been masterful.

My basic belief is that career politicians have no skills. Not even political skills. A pox on all career politicians.

A strong Christian and conservative doesn’t get silly. Not on the national stage. it’s whe Christian and conservative are supposed to best serve the guy

If a pres candidate could be a strong Christian and conservative to the end he’d win. Even against Trump

Cruz has too much pressure from donors I’d guess. He lost his way

“Cruz, he’z a good guy, a strong Christian and conservative.”

TPA/TPP
Corker bill
Goldman Sachs
Loans? What loans?

No Senator who voted to give Obama power through the monstrous trade bill, or who voted to give Iran the billions it needs to nuke America, can be described as a ‘good guy’, or a ‘conservative’.

I was of the opinion that Christians were supposed to lead by example... Show others the way.
Ted’s portrayal of Christianity is repulsive. WHO would want to be like him? His joyless grubbing is repellent!
I say that he has taken the name of the Lord in VAIN!
To serve his personal vanity and this is what totally turns people off from organized religion.
BTY I’d guess that his hypocrisy is the reason for his dwindling appeal.
