My town = predominately white (90%) blue collar folk that have a 90% gun ownership.... ZERO murders/shootings in February.
My weekend = IPDA gun match... 50 men and women open carrying and actively firing... ZERO shootings/murders.
I am going to go out on a limb and say Chicago’s problem is the demographic.
Shhh. We're not supposed to talk about that. Or IQ. Or demographic crime rates. Or out of wedlock births. Or high school drop out rates. Or urban culture (or the lack thereof).
If you talk about that stuff you are a racist.
There’s a site called Heyjackass.com that tracks Chicago Homicides. For 2016, there are 101 murder victims, 73 Black, 25 hispanic and 3 white. The city is approximately 1/3 of each race (approximately 800,000 or so of each). A white person in Chicago is no more likely to be murdered than anywhere else in the country.
