My mother died from cancer that metasticized into a brain tumor. She was more or less comatose for 2 wks before she finally passed, her body shutting down. I too would never have thought about posting the ordeal anywhere. It was hard enough communicating what was happening to family that doesn’t live here. It was traumatic to me. Wish she had gone quicker.
I’ll third this. 12 years ago, I lost my wife to breast cancer in a very similar fashion to what this Peek lady is going through. I cannot begin to comprehend making a social media event out of it. I just don’t understand it.
Their life has been in front of the media ever since they won the country version of American Idol. They were a beautiful couple that captured the hearts of everyone. I feel they consider the country music fans part of their extended family and know how much we care and pray for them to have the strength to deal with this terrible disease. Joey’s husband is most probably glad to receive the support of his fans.
