"I am officially running for President of the United States and we are going to make our country great again."
On 16 June, 2015, Donald Trump announced his bid in the 2016 presidential race at the Trump Tower, where he was surrounded by colleagues and supporters - although, it is doubted that there were many who considered him a serious contender. Yet with the US elections looming, the billionaire tycoon's chances of clinching the US Republican presidential nomination are looking more likely than ever.
Long viewed as a political outsider, Donald Trump has soared to victory in early nominating contests in Nevada, New Hampshire and South Carolina. It has also helped that he has just won his first endorsement from a member of Congress. He has now built a fan base of supporters who scarily follow and praise his every word, appearing like something out of a horror film, all eyes and teeth, cheering on the Republican candidate to 'build the wall' while shunning political correctness....

He ain’t there yet.
Watching Cruz now on CNN. I dont like this guy. He is going to beat HC?
Lol. He just had his *ss handed to him.
Again.
Go Trump
Tonight
Trump 6 possible 7 counting Vermont
Cruz 2
Rubio 1
Still waiting for Alaska
Yep. Cruz lost “evangelical” Arkansas. hee hee
Cruz got only 21% in Alabama. How can a conservative like him manage only that measly number in that state?
Wonder why Drudge does not have Alaska in the mix.
I believe Trump will be the nominee. Will the GOPe continue to try and destroy Trump? Can Trump really beat Clinton with the GOP splintered? Clinton WILL NOT be easy to beat. She SHOULD be indicted and convicted but this isn’t going to happen.
I forgot to add that Trump is leading by1028 votes in Vermont.
I think the GOPe has the convention rigged against Trump. The GOP does not have superdelegates that are free to vote for who they want. The GOP first round of voting has delegates committed to vote for the candidate they were assigned to. If a candidate does not break 50% then the delegates are free to vote for who they want in subsequent rounds of voting. I have been hearing rumors that the state RNC establishments have been selecting delegates that would be loyal to Rubio after the first round. All that has to happen is for many candidates to stay in in the proportional races to prevent Trump from getting over 50% after the Winner-Take-All states and then it is guaranteeed to be a brokered convention with Rubio in advantage to retain GOPe control.
Bear in mind that Trump can pull substantial numbers of democrats, not to mention independents that Cruz as a strict conservative will not be able to do.
All of which would be easier to do IF the GOPe gets behind him. If the GOPe continues to try and destroy Trump, I believe that will turn off independents.
I can understand that these underdogs need to do some snarling, but Cruz and Rubio have sunk to the gutters. While the GOP is running scared.
Politicians have not done anything good for America nor for Americans , only bad things like more taxes, more government agencies, more debt, bigger government ,more regulations and more 3rd world immigrants that take away our jobs and vote for socialism.
Why does anyone think politicians will suddenly change after 100 years of doing this?
Only a non politician, an entrepreneur that is not beholden to rich donors, someone like Donald Trump should be trusted
None of them have Alaska counts yet
“I think the GOPe has the convention rigged against Trump. “
I agree with you, but what is this then? Some extreme sports version of making us hold our nose again? They have gone too far I think. The GOP has to be taken over or die.
Nice to see this process FINALLY wrapping up. Unlike the enraged GOPe, I expect most people here to cool down and support our nominee.
And his victories include far-left Vermont and Massachusetts.
Take a dive, Cruz. And take Glenn Beck with you.
So you like Rubio?
Trump will go to the convention with > half the delegates.
