Waiting for them to ask astronomers to change the name of “black holes”. No word on “white bread” yet.
I'm confused, though either reason is stupid.
The first syllable is 'rac', which sounds like 'black'. So 'raccoon hunt' sounds like 'black coon hunt'. That made my race card go into high gear.
Better idea - let's call it the annual 'komodo dragon hunt'.
Innocent question; why is ‘coon’ - with is short for racoon offensive? How did this originate?
What is it about this cute little grey animal that so offensive?
I'm sure the donations from the black community in gratitude will then more than make up for the shortfall...

Unless those old boys no longer have their coonhonies they should have no trouble finding a suitable replacement for a “charity” which in now an agent of the political correctness police.

Could it be that some of the donations don’t actually go to “the children”? We have here the recipient setting the rules for the donor!

I was at the meetings when the first hunt was organized in a little restaurant in Parsons back in the mid-70s. Might have been 15 people.
No guns involved, no coons killed.
