The #nevertrump crowd is largely made up of foaming and frothing at the mouth neo-cons. They hate Trump because he doesn’t have to come crawling to them for money, they hate him because he doesn’t hire them to be his “advisors”, or “strategists.” Trump opposes open border where the neo-cons want to swamp the country with the 3rd World invasion. Trump supports the 2nd Amendment, the neo-cons support gun control. Trump is pro-life and the neo-cons are pro-abortion. The neo-cons think that if Trump doesn’t need them now, he might not pay attention to them when they start their inevitable howling for yet another war in Middle East and he won’t be so eager to send American men and women to die.

Proof? Or just a typical [thoroughly unsubstantiated] Drumpf-like statement?

They hate Trump because he doesn’t have to come crawling to them for money,

Never had any candidate come crawling to me for money.

they hate him because he doesn’t hire them to be his “advisors”, or “strategists.”

Not interested in a job with the Drumpf campaign, or any other. Neither are the other 65% of Republicans who did not vote for Drumpf yesterday.

Trump opposes open border where the neo-cons want to swamp the country with the 3rd World invasion.

As of now, yes. As of the last Presidential campaign, when he opposed even Romney's relatively mild platform as "heartless" no. What's a paleo to think?

Trump supports the 2nd Amendment, the neo-cons support gun control.

As of now, yes. As of recently, no.

Trump is pro-life and the neo-cons are pro-abortion.

As of campaigning for the Republican nomination, yes. As of recently [and while donating to pro-Aborts], no.

The neo-cons think that if Trump doesn’t need them now, he might not pay attention to them when they start their inevitable howling for yet another war in Middle East and he won’t be so eager to send American men and women to die.

Because conservatives were all so eager to do that, it only took three thousand dead Americans to get us there. We should have waited for a nuke in Manhattan to prove we weren't slathering to send American men and women to die.

The objection we have to Trump is that his conversion is recent and highly convenient, and we don't trust him. It has nothing to do with wanting handouts, or being "neo-cons" or any other nonsensical theory or excuse put together by Drumpf and his minions, flunkies, and stooges.

In the last 2 days Trump has added 70,000 subscribers to his twitter account. His normal run rate is 15,000 subscribers per day. If this rate were to hold up he would add 2.1 million in March for a total of 9 million.

Between twitter, facebook, and instagram that would put him at 15 million. With retweents he reaches 30-45 million per day.

No wonder the media is having such a tough time shutting him up.
