I don't think anyone believes Trump wants to do away with the 2nd Amendment. But he has supported some practices that are not consistent with the 2nd Amendment, such as the "assault weapons" ban, longer waiting periods, etc. Not a deal-breaker by itself for most people, but a negative to be considered.
You seem to be of the opinion that by using reductio ad absurdum techniques of exaggerating the claims of Trump opponents and then ridiculing them that you can somehow negate the validity of the criticisms themselves. Maybe that will work for the die-hard Trump supporters, but not for the rest of the people, any more than Clinton dismissing every charge against her as "old news" will work for her.
