He's right. Trump's position on this is just kind of nonsense. Had I been ordered to deliberately shoot noncombatants as "payback" for what terrorists did, I'd have said no, and I'd bet most of the officers with whom I'd served would say the same. Trump's statements that they'd do whatever he told them to do is just...juvenile.

I tend to think it's just bluster, but it is frustrating as hell to have a candidate who is 90% bluster because it is very difficult to tell what he actually thinks/believes.

Post the actual quote of what Trump said, not just the spin.

Context of the quote is the Military will be happy to follow a President Trumps leadership given the nature of the threat we face. The notion that he is going to give them illegal orders is spin added to the statement based on the assumption that current ROE would be in place.

Your post, is, kinda nonsense. Trump didn’t say a thing about shooting anyone. Nada. And, if you are honest, you know that. Trump did say, a while back, we should hold the families, i.e. co-conspirators, accountable like the Israelis do. Bulldoze their home for example. What are you going to do with the family in San Bernadino allowing bomb making in the family home? Send them more food stamps and tanf checks?
