“... Cruz supporters cannot bring themselves to support a Trump Presidency.”
If Trump gets the nomination he can count on the vote of this Cruz supporter.
Not necessarily so. I am a Cruz supporter. I voted for Senator Cruz, sent money, wear the t-shirts and display the signs. I am proud to support him, in the primary. The primary is a different mentality than the general election. In the Primary Ted Cruz better represents my conservative values. When the Primaries are over, if Donald Trump wins the nomination then the focus changes. I will then get behind Trump, send in a check, wear the t-shirts and sport the yard signs.
The Primary fight is Republican vs Republican. In the general election it is Republican vs Democrat. The fight for the best Republican to represent my values is going on now, but when it is over... it is over. I will then do my part to unify with the others.
If Trump takes the nomination, he has my support but Cruz has my support during the primaries.
She’s absolutely right.
I don’t personally like Trump... but I don’t vote for personalities, and I believe he can trounce Hillary. I think any of the GOP candidates can.. and I don’t like any of them.
Yesterday, I was livid. Actually angry. The gall...the machinations!!!! Romney is persona non grata to me now... He and his ilk are TOXIC to liberty.
fumr
Good, but honestly many more have said they could not would not support Trump.
Good man!
I, too, agree with the caller.
Makes you wonder if all of these Republicans indeed did drop to their hands and knees during the BO years.
Hillary has their files....probably reads like sizzling soap opera.
LOL! Best speech in that convention, by far!
What was his end game - his objective?
Completing the fundamental transformation of the country that Obama started.
In all fairness, Bush had the first $4 per gallon gasoline and the collapse of the economy began under him also which would account for the high employment. The rest, lay at Obama’s feet.
Rush tried to give her an IPad Pro but she wouldn't take it and asked that it be given to someone else (I missed who she said to give it to).
True, but it was 4 years in.
And the national avg gasoline price on Obama inauguration day was $1.84/gallon.
I bet if Ted Cruz was in reach of the nomination, Mitt Romney would be leading the charge to file suit saying he’s not an American.
I have told them all that I have nothing against Cruz but I think Trump is the man to get the job done. That Cruz needs to have himself deemed eligible to hold the office of President. That I personally do not believe he is a natural born American, but my belief is not a court ruling. I have also said that if I am faced with ignoring the Constitution or see the Democrat nominee be elected I will vote for Ted. Rubio is another story altogether. I wouldn't vote for him because besides also not being a natural born citizen he is a weasel who would be as bad as Hillary and perhaps even worse.
I only want what is best for this country and her citizens, period. My only concern at this point is the splitting of votes that may lead to a brokered Convention. We all lose if that happens, and the real loser will be the Republican Party. I am not out to destroy the party, but rather those who have been in control and are ruining the party. They have made the moniker of the Stupid Party fit like a hand in a glove made for that hand.
May the best man win, and may God bless America,
It's possible Mitt Romney still wants to be president, but there are other possibilities.
He's a markets guy, an economics guy, and he's thinking that talk of tariffs will hurt the economy and the stock market.
Or: he is still his father's son, and more to the point, he has a lot of time on his hands and may spend it with the remaining liberal Republicans, who really don't like some of Donald Trump's comments.
After yesterday, you still see Rubio and Cruz as different? How is that possible?
