The Nation Responds to Romney.
The Rush Limbaugh Show ^ | March 3, 2016 | Rush Limbaugh

Posted on 03/04/2016 1:22:58 PM PST by ConfidentConservative

CALLER: I am absolutely livid by the Romney speech. He is condescending. He sounded like a fricking Democrat the whole time. And first off, I'm a Cruz supporter. I support Cruz. But if he does not get the nomination, I will support Trump. I am so sick and tired of being lied to. The establishment said, "We have to have the House in 2010 to fight Obama." We gave it to 'em. "We have to have the Senate in 2014 to fight Obama." We gave it to 'em. And what did they do? Absolutely nothing. They've done nothing but lie.

I would love to have all Cruz and Trump supporters to read and comment on this caller's comments.

This woman put us where we should be (in thought) IMHO.

I agree with the caller. Not only has the GOPe done nothing, they have gone along with Obama almost as if some agreement exists between them.

I always have been, but Cruz supporters cannot bring themselves to support a Trump Presidency.

It turns out our impotent little squirts CAN fight. They fight us - their base. AND they fight Trump.

I have NEVER heard Romney go after Hillary or Obama with the hated he goes after the Republican the nation is choosing to be President.

May Romney the little quisling rot in hell...

BREITBART: "According to Cruz, though, there are discussions going on behind-the-scenes about the candidates coming together."

Didn't say 'which' candidates.

She said she is a Cruz supporter but she sees the danger of having our choice dictated to us.

Romney lost to a candidate who had produced:

$4 gas, surging food prices, 8% unemployment (13% actual), trillion dollar deficits, Obamacare, and Benghazi.

All they had to do to defund Planned Parenthood is to amend a must pass, no filibuster spending bill and they couldn’t even do that! This may be the first time in the history of the country that a political party has opposed the front runner presidential candidate.

Oh yeah Trump first for sure. Will cast my vote for him tomorrow in fact. Not sure Cruz will be eligible though if court cases rule against his natural born citizen claim.

If Romney wanted to stop Trump, he probably should've endorsed him.

I listened to Romney's condescending, smarmy speech for about 5 minutes. I felt like I was being lectured to by my mother.

I love Ted and Trump together. Perhaps there is still a chance they can "reconcile" and make it Trump/Cruz 2016? Donald handles the economy and security, Ted whips Congross as President of the Senate and would actually be present and preside over their sessions...

Just me, but I was on the fence between Cruz and Trump (my posting history speaks to this) and when it came time to vote I had to go with Trump because I don’t think Cruz has the steel to fight the GOP Establishment.

And right now the race isn’t about the Democrats it’s about the treasonous GOP Establishment that time and again sells us out to the Democrats. If we can’t get past them then Hillary doesn’t matter.

Trump can do it. Ted...not so sure.

She is where I’ve been through this whole primary season. The enemy is the “establishment” because they are all Progressives (both parties).

Not liberals. Progressives. People who believe that you can change the USA from what it was created to be into a nation of collectivists who will gladly give up freedom for a guaranteed handout. The reason they call themselves Progressives isn’t because they think that they create “progress”. It is because they believe in “progressive evolution” of the human spirit by means of the nudge. (That’s not me speaking. That is by their own word. Read “The Nudge”, “The Greening of America”, and Progressive magazine. When they are in their “safe space”, they spill all the beans.)

Both parties have used their apparent rivalry to create a system that nudges the people of each side towards the common goal of collectivism.

Sanders is ruining the nudge by ripping the mask off their socialism. Trump is ruining the nudge by telling us that it’s OK to shake our fists at “our” party and tell them “Hell NO!” Cruz is doing the same, but to a lesser degree. That’s why I support Trump over Cruz, but if Trump disappeared, I would switch support to Cruz.

I don’t care about the mudslinging and name-calling. I just want to punch the RNC in the face, along with millions of other Patriots, and to end the “nudge”. If they think we need to be socialists, then they need to explain why. Perhaps they have a good reason. But if it is just so the Elites can get cheaper labor, then we need to start building gallows and guillotines.

Not true. One of the reasons the “rally around Rubio” ploy was never going to work. Cruz supporters like me are anti-establishment. Rubiosupporters second choice was far more likely to be Cruz than vice versa.
Trump/Cruz is appealing to me if Cruz doesn’t win.

Not to mention that Mittens is a line bred, brain dead, Jack Mormon quisling. I wonder what the LDS church leaders think of him - not to suggest they would go public.

It’s the GOPe that are making Trump and Cruz frontrunners.

Here’s the math, 80% of the primary votes are anti-GOPe.

Not only was Romney’s attack unwarranted and destructive to the republican party in general - it was stupid.

What was his end game - his objective?

Realistically there really wasn’t any that could benefit him.

That’s why I think he was recruited to fight the battle for someone (or more than one) who prefers to stay out of the picture.

If he or his sponsors thought his criticism would change the dynamic they were WRONG!

All Mitt managed to accomplish is to destroy what little respect and stature he might still have had after his dismal 2012 campaign.
