CPAC is the establishment? Since when? Conservatives have been the ones fighting the establishment long before Trump decided to join the fray. So why would he diss the people who could be his biggest supporters? They had been supporting him over Ted Cruz in the early states. I think this diss has hurt him big time as conservatives may be dissing him right back. We know liberal Republicans would not vote for him. So who’s left? It was a total unforced error.
Regardless. One thing’s for sure. Romney is dead to conservatives after he became a clear tool of the establishment. What he did to Trump is one of the most disgusting and lowliest things I’ve seen the GOPe do this side of the Mississippi primary a few years ago.
