As to Bill Gates, I’ve just read that, as of 2013, his foundation has stopped funding Planned Parenthood because of abortion. I am pleasantly surprised. I would be equally surprised if he donated to a group with the word terrorist or rapist in the title.
It’s always possible that one’s donation might be go somewhere unintended, and I would never fault anyone for that. When I donate, I pray that God will guide the money to where He wants it to go. I trust in Him, not in people.
Way way way too vague a hypothetical, I'm not going to walk into your gotcha. You know what? I will: If your 8 year old daughter was being held up for emergency heart surgery because some hospital permit official needed 100$ for his gay group, then yes, to save your daughter's life, I would donate to that group with the word gay or lesbian in it's name.
Similarly, if you invested all your savings in my company and your daughter's college education fund WAS that investment, and unless I gave 100$ the company would fold and your 17 year old daughter's education fund would be 0, I also would do that for your daughter.
Get what I'm saying? Trump's business is not just Trump.
Don't think that just because I am defending Trump I ignore it, don't notice it, don't have my eye on it. It's just that I'm not going to allow people to get the smear style gotcha while they pretend that anything in the world would ever get done without there having to be some tradeoffs when you have two values and the real world puts them directly in conflict with each other.
