This is not a coincidence. That guy came across as smug on TV interviews and of course did some nasty things behind Ted's back in the campaign.
The importance of cutting out this cancer cannot be understated.
I've noticed that Dan Patrick has sort of become the go to surrogate on TV interviews. This was who they should've had out there from the beginning. Dan Patrick is an articulate conservative and a very good Lt. Gov. here in Texas. He also used to own a radio station in Houston and did a daily talk show, so he knows how to do media. It also doesn't help to have Amanda Carpenter going to bat for Cruz on CNN daily. A very articulate and beautiful lady. On the other hand, Rick Tyler besides being smug was a total lightweight on TV debates with Trump or Rubio surrogates.
Anyways, I don't think the importance of this move can be understated. I'm so glad Rick Tyler fell on his sword.
Meant it also doesn’t *hurt* to have Carpenter going to bat for Ted.
I’d say he’s got the same job...just under the table.
When’s Cruz going to disavow his relationship with a guy who wants to stab Donald Trump to death?
You must have seen him on MSNBC too? Sure looks to still be on Cruz payroll.
Firing Rick was Cruz’s realization that the lies weren’t always working. But he didn’t stop lying, just got even sneakier.
“Whens Cruz going to disavow his relationship with a guy who wants to stab Donald Trump to death?”
You mean Stabby the Clown, Angel Raphael’s deformed cast shadow? He won’t. Angel Raphael needs Stabby the Clown and Bishop Willard to pull in one or two cabin fever states out on the prairies.
It was Mr. Roe who hired Mr. Tyler to be the Cruz campaigns spokesman. (In an interview this month, Mr. Tyler said he had learned a lot from Mr. Roe. Jeff wins, Mr. Tyler said, adding, I dont think anything weve done is underhanded or deceptive or anything like that.)
But back home, Mr. Roes allies and opponents alike have seen a familiar imprint in the Cruz campaigns recent exploits, which have included a Photoshopped image of Mr. Rubio and the misleading suggestion, on the night of the Iowa caucuses, that Ben Carson was leaving the race.

All been done before by Jeff Roe. Now Tyler is canned but Jeff is still in charge.

Trump has won 13 states to Cruz winning 6. That’s all that needs reminding. Oh huckabee won 8 in 2008.
Only 2 caucus states left thank goodness.
Yet Cruz waited so long to get rid of him...
All of you Trumpkins are truly insufferable. FR has been lost to the clown class.
That was a good move.
I'm one of the few here who is not "for" either guy. I'm for "whichever" guy. It frees me up to tell the truth about both...
And Cruz hurt his "brand" when he didn't fire Tyler after the two Iowa incidents.
I must repeat, having seen the Tapper/Bash report live that anyone watching would understand Carson was quitting the race. If there is any blame, it’s on CNN not Cruz.
That it was modified and repeated in caucus settings around Iowa, was on Cruz's people. That Cruz did nothing after both this incident and the deceitful voter publication, which he defended, was a serious blow his brand. Plus he manipulates the truth regularly. This also hurts his brand.
almost three times as many according to trump at his presser last night
