“Dude obviously was not prepared for that kind of horsepower in a car, just because the car can do it, doesnt mean you can handle it.”
I learned long ago that when you’re in over your head there are some possible fixes:
1) Shut up.
2) Stop typing/pushing buttons.
3) Take your foot off the gas.
4) Run.
They’ve all worked for me in the past.
yep... young dude with more money than brains... wanted to impress the fair ladies...
It is a bizarre coincidence no doubt but it seems youthful invincible ignorance was the deadly factor here more than any Muslime connection.
"How do four adults fit into a two seater? Two people in the seats, two people sitting on the rear deck with their legs behind the seats. Looks good in the movies, not very smart at 85mph." - PLMerite
Not too smart to try such activity in a foreign nation, much less Dubai. I'm having difficulty buying into this story. The above linked article states:
"Victoria McGrath was near the finish line in April 2013 when two bombs exploded, sending shrapnel into her leg."
Unless Victoria was a daredevil by nature, the behavior/posture you suggest just doesn't seem plausible.

Coming as close to death as she did can put the zap on a person’s mind. And if all other explanations fail, check the box marked ‘stupid,’ or as the Brits put it, “death by misadventure.”

The article seems to say - driver, two in the passenger seat, and the fourth sitting in between the seats.
The Ferrari was not a full convertible.
I married young (18) in 1964; husband was 21 - too young I
guess, but I had to grow up fast. He & I were too busy,
him in the Air Force & me taking care of a new baby. Too
busy to fool with the dope & “peace” marches. Had to keep
my wits about me to be able to cope with a baby & the
duties of a household, cooking, cleaning. - I had also
worked a summer job in Huntsville, Alabama, in the Valve
Unit, Redstone Arsenal, working on the Saturn V Project.
I was glad they didn’t have as many astronauts killed
getting to the moon as they were expecting to be killed.
- I had never even typed on an electric typewriter & they
put me typing work orders with foreign symbols on an IBM
typewriter. That was a strange experience. I’m not smart;
but I pray for the Lord’s help. - I hadn’t realized the
Russians had lost as many people as they did in that race.
