In my life of 53 years, I’ve been told by companies twice that they could not accept my resume because they were looking for a minority or woman (I work in a STEM field). I’m sure that that very few blacks, women, or homosexuals of my age has never been explicitly told that.

The fact they admit that shows how ingrained it is that not only that is the way it is, but that’s the way it’s SUPPOSED to be.
In America, go to any bank, pharmacy, government agency, doctor’s office, real estate office, public school (teachers and administrators), hospital, travel agency,...you name it, and the vast majority are female. Next are black/brown female and black/brown males, and the bottom 5% are split between white straight and homosexual men.
Never any fear of the EEOC or guilt of their obvious gender and/or racial bias. Forty years of anti white male propaganda have made it woven into the fabric of our society.

Same here when I came out of college in the early 70’s. I was told during my first trip to a recruitment company that they could get me hundreds of offers from Fortune 500 companies if I was a woman, Black, disabled, or better yet some combo of all three, but it was slim pickings for white boys.
ah, but what if you were a black female conservative? My wife is and found defense contractors are as far Left as the media and academe.
