There’s a difference between a “contested convention” and a “brokered convention”. The latter is full on GOPe meddling - the former is pretty much normal.
Hey now- you. No thoughtful comments, just knee jerk comments based on the headline....
the former is pretty much normal.
Contested conventions are not the least bit normal...hasn’t happened in decades...
Beware of the false conservatives. By their associations you shall know them. Are outsiders gathered from the insiders? Anti-establishment from the establishment?
Define “pretty much normal”?
Thank you. I knew the Trump supporters were blinded by his light but I didn't know that they had also lost the ability to read:
(Cruz said) he would have no problem with a contested convention over the summer in the event neither he nor Donald Trump secures enough delegates before then to lock up the Republican presidential nomination.
We are used to seeing these things decided well before the convention, because all the primaries are front loaded these days.
The 1976 Convention was contested, but the front runner going in, Ford, did win on the first ballot.

Exactly right.
Your statement is correct and is appreciated, unfortunately many will engage their fingers without comprehension.
Maybe this is his baby step
