I don’t think so. The Kitchener factory is quite small (110 people) and I believe it was built to manufacture FN’s.

The WW2 Inglis factory was right in downtown Toronto. It was huge with thousands of people.

The hi powers were only a small part of what was produced there

I like ARs and I like AKs. They are obviously different but both are much fun. I have a couple of 1911s but I do not care for them as much as I like other platforms.

Colt filed for bankruptcy protection, not the same as liquidation. It allows entities (people or businesses) to seek protection from their creditors, during a court supervised reorganization of their finances.

There's nothing wrong with a bullpup, but it takes some doing to get it right and there are some fundamental problems in getting a good trigger pull. It also helps if the rifle is NOT select fire. I remember one bullpup design that had a great trigger and it got its good pull from the rails for the trigger being on rollers. Unfortunately, I can't remember who made the rifle.
