This nominee is bad, but it could be worse. Debatable whether that matters, but let’s presume for a second it does.

I would suggest dragging the nomination out over the next 7 months, until the election. If Hillary or Bernie win, then accept the nomination, if a Republican wins, reject the nomination.

I don’t think we have enough information to judge whether he would rule fairly or not - nothing so far, points to a bias... If they waited until AFTER the election and it goes to Hillary, we would then hear that there’s no time to get it done and it would be taken off the table - they take a lot of time off in November and December. Remember they do a lot of things in December that they had all year to do and didn’t.

I say seat him now on the chance that Hillary will get the chance to fill the seat after January 2017 and we’ll really be up the creek!
