Back when Ross Perot was running, folks still believed the system of choosing a nominee was essentially above board. Folks generally accepted that Perot was imagining things.
Today, does anyone doubt that the thugs (both political parties) are capable of scare tactics to thwart candidates?

Exactly! Threats to Perot’s family were the final blow that made him give up. He didn’t have much faith that anyone would help him protect them. You couldn’t blame him but I hope Trump is stronger.
