Several of the diehard Trumpets here refused to vote for McCain and Romney. They espoused staying home to all and bragged that they did just that after the election results came in. They were proud they helped defeat the non-Conservative “RINOS”. They were “pure” and would never vote for someone that was not a true Conservative. These same purists jumped on the Trump train immediately. Trump, the most impure candidate we have seen yet run on the R ticket.

Their excuse before was that they’d rather a D be elected and have the Libs responsible for the destruction than an R. Let the Ds take the fall in 2008 and then again in 2012.

Now the shoe is on the other foot. Trump is every bit as liberal as Hillary, if not more. Why not let the destruction fall to a D again as opposed to an R? Some RS don’t want the total destruction of America to occur under their watch.

As for those freepers mentioned above, I wonder if they weren’t really Ds conning the weak-minded into staying home. Now they’re conning them to support Trump to get a D elected again.

Or maybe they were/are the weak-minded. Just as the GOP. Regardless, we get the same results. Another D elected and our country falls further into decline.

"Trump is every bit as liberal as Hillary, if not more."

Care to explain that? And I'll tell you something else: I'd rather a liberal who at least believes in America and its people, than a gutless, self-serving, go-along-to get-along sack of horse manure that crumbles the instant someone calls him a fascist or a racist, simply for wanting to uphold and equally apply the law, or for having the temerity to be proud of this country and its history.

And for what it's worth, I don't think Trump is a liberal. Just because he donated to dems, and was seen in public with the Clintons, doesn't mean he is. He is a businessman, and smart enough to know that you have to pay to play with the rats in our government. Given how weak republicans are, I suspect Trump saw a much better return on his investment donating primarily to dems (dems much higher propensity to be corrupt and grant favors for cash was likely a factor as well).

Is Trump a "pure" conservative (whatever that means)? No, but he isn't Obama or Hillary or Hitler or Mussolini either.
