Three Israelis were killed Saturday in a suicide bombing on a major shopping street in Istanbul, Turkish media report. At least one other person, an Iranian national, was also killed.
The victims were Simha Siman Demri, 60, Yonathan Suher, 40, Avraham Goldman, 70 and an Iranian identified as Ali Riza Khalman whose age was not given, the CNN-Turk broadcaster said.
Eleven Israelis are wounded, two severely so, out of a total of 36 wounded victims. Another six Israelis are still unaccounted for.
Deputy health minister Ahmet Baha Otuken had earlier confirmed that Simha Demri was among the four victims of the blast in which 36 people were injured. The attack took place on Istiklal Caddesi, a busy pedestrian thoroughfare lined with shops and cafes that is immensely popular with both tourists and locals.
Israel on Saturday sent two planes to Turkey to bring home its wounded citizens, according to Magen David Adom.
"The aim of the operation is to repatriate wounded Israelis as fast as possible," an MDA spokesperson said.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the explosion but pro-government newspapers blamed it on ISIS, which has been accused of several attacks in Turkey in recent months, including a suicide bombing near the Blue Mosque in January, in which 12 German tourists were killed.

Why would Israelis travel to a Moslem country. Makes no sense.
No tears or sympathy from me. Jews stupid enough to travel to a Jew and Israel-hating Muslim country deserve what they get coming to them.
Its not like any sane person, Jewish or non-Jewish, should travel to a Muslim country. You’d walk around there with a target on your back.
Its not like Israelis will learn anything from what happened even as their moron Prime Minister seeks to reconcile with Turkey.
Why should we help finance or militarily support Israel if their citizens enable their enemy?
That’s what I was thinking. Not a desired vacation.
What? No Americans or Europeans ever visit Istanbul? It would be a great idea if we all stopped. But the few Israelis who go won’t make or break Turkey. Personally, if I were ever traveling for a vacation, I’d go to Greek Larnaca in Cyprus.
Before Pres. Erdogan was elected, Turkey and Israel were good friends.
See what progress Turkey has made with new leadership./s
