Yep, you’ve already got one strike against you in life if you are being raised by foster parents usually, but raised by a foster family on a reservation? That’s probably strikes two and three.

Ain’t that the truth.

There are some good families on the Res...but they have the odds stacked against them.

This kid...with the anger and grief and guilt and confusion? Slim to none.

The child is being sent to members of her “extended family” in Utah, who do not live on a reservation nor are they “Native American.”

Actually from what I’ve read elsewhere, the new foster family are not Native American and do not live on a reservation.
