Dozens of professors from American University’s Washington College of Law signed on to a letter saying the phrase "all lives matter" is white supremacy.

Dozens of professors from American University’s Washington College of Law (WCL) openly condemned an unknown student as a white supremacist for posting a sign with the catchphrase “All Lives Matter” on a faculty member’s door.

“The ‘All Lives Matter’ sign might seem to be a benign message with no ill intent, but it has become a rallying cry for many who espouse ideas of white supremacy and overt racism, as well as those who do not believe the laws should equally protect those who have a different skin color or religion,” the professors wrote in a statement to the WCL community.

The handwritten sign was allegedly posted on the door of a faculty member’s office by a student who has not been identified. The professors, however, think the student clearly intended to promote a racist message.

“In context, the message appears intended by the messenger to be an attempt to silence and intimidate an opposing viewpoint, not an effort to communicate a different perspective,” they wrote.

They go on to argue that since the sign was placed in the vicinity of “a flyer for a training program on police violence” and “near flyers for other social justice and racial equality events,” it sent a racist message given the context.

The professors then offer some tips on how to respectfully “communicate a different perspective.”

“There is value in simply asking someone, ‘If you feel comfortable, I would like to talk to you sometime about X. I have been reading a lot about the topic, and I am interested in hearing your perspective,’” the professors wrote to their law students in a lesson on how to engage in arguments.

“Few would take offense at your non-confrontational invitation to have the conversation,” they added after defending the “Black Lives Matter” movement and its tactics.

It is almost as if the Black lives matter people WANT RE-Segregation as long as THEY are in charge....

Some slaves dream not of freedom, but of being masters.

When has anyone on the left ever taken this approach when pushing THEIR agenda? This letter doesn't even do it.

Next, “I have a dream” will be deemed a code phrase for promotion of discrimination.

I see all this nonsense as proof that we ARE on the cusp of becoming a truly “colorblind” society, and faced with the prospect of being evaluated solely on the content of one’s character, many are aggressively seeking to preserve the tools & labels which hid their character for so long. Culture matters, and ignoring the correlating genetics reveals the character behind the veil.

Read Robert Heinlein's novel, Farnham's Freehold, and take a look at the future as he saw it in 1964......................

Well gee, why didn’t they think of that during the Ferguson and Baltimore riots.?

We could have all talked to the rioters about “their perspective”

I’m sure it would have calmed them right down,/s

What a bunch of buffoons....and to think that simply being a ‘professor’ was once a dignified label. I would call on all real professors to stand up and call these imposters out of their midst because they are succeeding in denigrating them all by their opinions and actions.

They don’t realize how stupid they sound. I would fire him because he’s in no state of mind to be teaching anyone anything.

I am beginning to think it not injudicious to level every college in America, and turn education over to the private sector EXCLUSIVELY : )

Well, of course not.

Oh, they would report you for making them feel unsafe with your hate speech and hold a kangaroo court to have you expelled but they wouldn’t be “offended.”

Perish the thought.

"Black lives matter a human rights movement.."

Absolute BALONEY! It is a George Soros TERRORIST organization whose ONLY agenda is to bring anarchy and destruction upon the country. They could give a rats bum about blacks. You will never ever see them protest a black kid killed by a gang shooting, never ever see them protest the destruction of the black family unit by the Democrat engineered socialist holocaust, never protest black celebrities who push drugs and gangs on black youth, it's ONLY agenda is to flame race relations, incite riots, trash neighborhoods and get people killed because the people behind it hate the USA and wish to see it's downfall. Wow, you know I just noticed these fools left their email address "Studentaffairs@wcl.american.edu" I'm going to write them an email, that's if that email address isn't already stuffed.

How long until all of us are ‘Hitler’ - - if we think ‘all lives matter’?

And where do these idiot liberals go AFTER they’ve played the last race/hate card? Re-education camps? What a joke.

Herein lies the problem. Ask someone if they feel comfortable. When the person says no, discussion over. So, remember there is no comfort with these people, they are always upset,. Ergo, the college campuses now being upset over an ALL lives matter poster, Trump 2016 scrawled in chalk etc... They are upset before the conversation even begins. They don’t want to hear another opinion anyway. When something so stupid as not seeing that all lives do matter, then you cannot discuss rationally with that person anyway. My new thought for the week, MLK Jr gave his speech in 1963 for nothing. Liberals desire neither color blindness or character to define anyone. They want color and no character.

Yeah, look at any city in America - or any "black" country in the world - to see how THAT turned out.

I guess the Pledge of Allegiance needs to be updated so that the last line becomes: “With liberty and justice for Blacks.”

Why, you aren't allowed to say it in public anymore anyway.
