Even as a Cruz supporter, its hard to not agree with that analysis.

This is what I have been saying all along.

i.e., Donald Trump has succeeded in forming a third party within the walls of the Republican Party.

He was able to do it because he self-funded.....and ain't beholden to no one....except "We, the People".....

Bless him and protect him and his family.

Pat Buchanan, whom Trump called a “Hitler lover”, disappoints real conservatives by pimping for the progressive Trump.

Hasn't anyone noticed, it doesn't matter what is thrown at Trump, it doesn't stick?

The media lies, the talking heads, all of the government idiots cant and haven't been able to do a thing to Trump...

The American People are behind Trump, a very, very large mass of them, and we will stay behind him, these RNC, GOPe, RINO base, everyone have already lost this race, they just don't know it yet, but it's coming...

Oh and the ‘voter fraud’ well look no further than George Soros because Hillary can't win against Trump...

"Pray tell, what has Pat ever won?"

Well, it appears he is taking over the Republican Party, at least philosophically.

Exactly, or the GOPe could steal the nomination from the voters, ensuring a loss of enthusiasm among republicans, and we get democrat-lite candidates that will lose to the democrats in the general elections.

And my fear is that if the GOPe passes on Trump it might be decades before we get another candidate that understands the economic issues and will do something about the de-industrialization of America.

Pat is very generous: Trump issued harsh attacks on Pat in 2000 when Pat was the Reform Party nominee.

Pat won the NH primary by a narrow margin in 1996; otherwise, not much else.

Senator John McCain (AZ, Mod.) is emblematic of the 21st century GOP.
Pretend to be a conservative every six years. The rest of the time, do whatever it takes to preserve your reputation with the MSM and the left, and fight & abuse conservatives tooth-and-nail until the next election.
Enough of that happy horse-stuff. Go Trump. win win win.

Trump's support skews disproportionately older. It may well be enough to win this year, but it seems quite the stretch to see it as a movement for the future.

It also should be pointed out that there really isn't a "movement" at all. Trump is not bringing along other candidates for the House or Senate, or even at the state level. It is a movement focused solely on him, and he's nearly 70.

Neither Pat or DONEald have “taken over the Party”.
Lots of wishful thinkin goin on.

At the most, less than 30% of all GOP Primary voters have gone for Trump.
