The interview has the ring of truth to it.
Likewise, the publisher states that there is video of the interview.
But Cruz can blow this all out of the water by making the following statements:
1.) “I have never been unfaithful to my wife Heidi”
2.) “I have never had an affair, or a mistress or mistresses”
3.) “I demand an immediate apology and retraction from the National Enquirer, or I will direct my legal team to being legal proceedings against them.”
That’s all he has to do. But he won’t.
Why?
being = begin
Do you not recall Anthony “Carlos Danger” Wiener and Bill Clinton vehemently DENYING the sex allegations!?
Cruz should lead with sex has been ruled off the table in presidential politics. Ref Clinton v. USA
1.) I have never been unfaithful to my wife Heidi
2.) I have never had an affair, or a mistress or mistresses
3. "I never had sex with that woman, Ms. Lewinsky".
It is not so simple.
Whenever a candidate answers allegations, more questions get asked. It gets a candidate on the defense and off message.
Lawsuits are useless. Freedom of press is a basic right. They have real people, making real claims. They also can legally choose to NOT disclose who the sources are. And going after the sources will be perceived as persecution and oppression regardless of whether there is any substance to the claims. If these people retract their statements, a dozen more will step forward to make similar claims.
It’s like saying a candidate must apologize for something. Whenever they apologize, the complaint never goes away. It just makes it worse. Next they call for the candidate to drop out.
Because that’s not how grifters do their grifting?
Do I win a prize for answering correctly?
When Ted sues and there is a docket date set to hear the case, then I’ll pay attention. Until then it all has the stench of clintonistas dividing the opposition.
Remember what Morris’ poll told Clinton? They will forgive the infidelity but not lying about it.
