Regardless of how the Cruz on Fox segment ends up, the real surprise for me is how unprepared the Cruz campaign seems to have been that any of the affairs (what do you call this stuff, anyway??) came to the surface. Even if there was never anything in his past that might have actually pointed to this as a possibility, I would have expected this to be covered in the initial discussions about possible events and how to publicly respond to it (like a prominent person passing away, a large-scale terror attack on American soil, pick the crisis....) Especially since Senator Cruz has built the base of his support on religious conservatives.

With all of that, I guess the real indication of whether any of this is true is to see the religious conservatives on his staff resigning, as actual evidence comes to light. While some would stay for the paycheck, I would expect that several might want to have nothing to do with the man, again if any of it is true.

What a mess. This should be a very easy election to win, with Hillary Clinton having all of her problems and Bernie Sanders being what he is. I hope this does not turn into Republicans tearing defeat away from the jaws of victory. Our form of government can't take much of what is happening now.

Happy Easter everyone.

I concur. Last week, and weeks before, had too much crap being thrown around. You hate Trump? Fine, we get it. You hate Cruz? Fine, we get that too. You don’t want either? Fine, we understand that.

Now, get over it and shut up. Nobody here is going to be persuaded by these posts anymore. Post as related to the Sunday Shows, not your personal opinions on it all. If a story comes up, comment anyway you wish but stop creating conflict for the sake of conflict.

“Adultery goes unmentioned” ! Not so. Shannon Breen in for Chris Wallace pressed him on it. Of course he denied and blamed Trump. Stay tuned. This story has legs.

Really? And did she then let it go and agree that “ Trump” is the real sleaze? That’s the talking point of the weekend

She let him say what he wanted to say, but in now way did she agree with him. I wish she would have pressed him more with questions like “why don’t you file a defamation lawsuit”? They don’t allow enough time on these shows to get into it really hard. I still think this thing has legs. You have to believe a lot of reporters and Ops. Researchers are digging around. I look for one or two Bimbos to go public before the Wisconsin primary. If I were to advise Scott Walker, it would be to hold off on that endorsement.

And Cruz is on Fox and they will continue to blame everything on Trump.

And Trump will be on blaming everything on Cruz.

And, Hillary gets a pass from it all. Maybe Trump set this up to cover for Hillary's failing campaign. Cruz takes all the heat and cankle's buddy Trump is behind it all. Just sayin'....

The GOP has concluded it’s death rattle, slipped into a coma, and is current dead. The funeral will be at its convention in Cleveland. The party bosses have falsely detected a weak pulse, but the rest of us are smelling the rotted corpse. The party was tone deaf, ignored the TEA Party, sided with Obama, Reid, Pelosi, and gave Barry a budget deal that is a debt-generator. McCain, McConnell, Ryan, Boehner all stood by and covered their butts for a long time. Now the fruits of their efforts killed the GOP. Long live Queen Hillary.

HOWEVER... Many smart FReepers have brought up the possibility of this all being a ploy of the GOPe, designed to take out both Trump and Cruz and let the party bosses promote a third candidate; a white knight who will shine without blemishes at the convention. IF so, pretty damn disgusting.

I'm beginning to subscribe to that theory. It's certainly worth consideration, given the GOPe tactics so far.

I am sitting here watching Meet the Press and first, Kasich is a guest.

Why?

Now I know the answer, of course. Kasich somehow thinks he’s going to get that nomination.

I don’t know about you people but I am NOT holding my nose and pulling that lever for Kasich even if they do manage to force him down our throats.

He keeps saying he’s the only one who can win.

Heh.

Ben Carson says that.

Carly Fiorina says that.

Chris Christy says that.

...point being....is this all it takes to steal the GOP nomination....to assert that you WILL win.

Kasich not committing to supporting Donald Trump.

I got some thoughts on Donald Trump I’ll put in another post. But I don’t want to fight.

To: All

To begin, my guy is Ted Cruz and no, I do NOT believe he had five affairs with various women....I will believe it when I see it. I do not think he is that stupid.

Still and so, I don’t expect everyone to like Ted Cruz....hey, support your guy with enthusiasm and may the best man win.

I will, however, support Donald Trump should he get the nomination and I will never understand some of those virulent Trump haters.

Guess who’s out and about lambasting Trump?

Christine O’Donnell!

Remember her?

It’s like these people, formerly Tea Party types, suddenly want to appear all noble and blast Donald Trump for why?

Do people really think Donald Trump will win the presidency and do what? Start a nuclear war? Throw all the immigrants in jail? Blow up Paris?

This is a man who built an empire. As for those Trump steaks, have you people ever watched Shark Tank?

Trump is a venture capitalist....just like Mitt Romney! He put in some money and it worked. Or it didn’t.

I’d rather have someone willing to risk their money than a coward.

Do these Trump haters worry that he will insult some poobah in Saudi Arabia?

What the hell is the basis for their anger? Dear Lord, vote AGAINST the guy.

But if he wins, respect the will of the people and get over it.

Anyway....I’m for Ted Cruz.

I will NEVER vote for Kasich or Jeb Bush.

I will of course never vote for Hillary.

Trump always brags about getting along with people so well.
Trump should make a deal with Cruz now. They should mend fences and work together for the future of the country.
They are both becoming too selfish in the horse race for the W.H. The goal should be to stop Hillary from being President.
