Been saying this for more than a couple of years. The GOPe must be put down once and for all so that a new party can arise from the ashes. EVERY expert tells us that a third party has no chance against the other two.

This year may be different. If Trump went third Party he may be able to draw enough out of both to win. It certainly would be close.

-- If Republicans lose this election, it is because of hatred within the party. --

Most of the anger and hatred dissipates in the general election cycle. McCain wasn't well liked, and IIRC, Romney was more or less "hated" by most Freepers during the primary cycle.

There will always be some fraction of the electorate that refuses to support a nominee, for various reasons. I don't see either Cruz or Trump being more susceptible to that than Romney was.

I do agree with those who speculate that the party is working to knock out all of the candidates and substitute a person not currently running. I don't know if that has ever happened, at least before the era of the primary vote (first presidential primary was in the 1920's, coinciding with the rise of "democracy" and the demise of the republic).

Happy Blessed Easter to all! He is risen!!

If I am Cruz and I know that damning facts will surface soon, I cut a deal with Trump today to “join” forces to run against Clinton. The deal is I give him enough delegates on the second ballot if he is short of 1237 on the first vote. In return Trump picks up the tab on my campaign expenses if I run short up to $20 million.

And challenge the moderates to show us their ‘moderation’ by winning some elections and transforming the theocracies into countries that respect the individual freedom of religion.

Just saw the 1st Cruz moment on Fox News; from that and other comments I see here about the disjointed interview it looks like his presence on the show will be heavily edited and controlled. I wonder who made that decision. I thought the segment ran shorter than a commercial.

Senator Cruz needs to recognize that this is his 1st 3AM phone call. If he avoids the potential scandal he won't get a 2nd chance to make a good 1st impression. We already have a 1st term Senator who is most comfortable reading prepared text off a teleprompter; there is nothing in the Constitution that requires the President to specialize in snappy patter.

I don’t have a problem with hard news and you usually provide links to your sources.

Where it’s bothersome is the food fight mentality of calling people names just because one disagrees with that candidate or jumps on a rumor bandwagon out of hand with no supporting sources.

Two things are for sure. One, the media/press knows how to push our buttons to cause conflict and getting voters mad as hell. And two, our own GOPe has more influence than most of us thought. It amazes me how our GOPe is willing to trash our own party and our future so they can retain power and influence.

I really believe that if Trump is our candidate and we have those that claim they will stay at home it won’t matter at all this year he’s going to bring in so many new voters many new voters it just won’t matter. we’re going to have a huge win

We do not know what will happen during a Trump/Clinton debate? Some women are looking for things Trump says, to hate Trump more. Trump has not been tested enough to know how he will react to an arrogant Clinton and her machine.
If Cruz wins Wisconsin, he may give Trump a run for his money. Bernie still has some life left in him, to fight Hillary for another month or so. This is going to be a learning experience, to see how the election plays out.
The future of the country is waiting the outcome!

It all gets back to the requirement that the GOPe select the nominee, along with the media. Why hold the pretense of allowing the 'public' to vote for the nominee they want in primaries?

You just said what will be the end of the cruise Candidacy you can’t talk like a preacher or Minister all the time like he and beck do and then have affairs with 5 different women although they’ve very slickly tried to introduce three more which were false so they could claim that all were false but that’s not going to work people are not stupid.

So I watched Meet the Press and now Fox News Sunday and, as expected, lots of talk about ISIS, Syria, radical Muslims....yada, yada.

President Obama pulled out of Iraq because the Clinton foundation got money to do so.

Yeah, I have no proof but these people at the helm of our country are thieves pure and simple. Throw the country down the tubes for the money.

So a bunch of thugs and thieves decide to form some kind of caliphate thing. Hey, thugs and thieves exist everywhere. It’s small matter to recruit a few who would love to behead, rape, maybe even blow themselves up....for the thrill of it.

Meanwhile the brain-retards in Saudi Arabia....the inbred Saudis....the only way they can control their population because first-Muslims are not great soldiers, go on. Second, if they were great soldiers first ones they’d take down are the poobahs and Imams in charge....think Iran.

So they teach them to hate Israel and its friend, America. Obviously these people cannot govern themselves and Lord they do hate the police don’t they?

Now they come to America and for the right amount of money, Black Lives Matter and other stupid movements will work relentlessly to keep stupid Americans from trying to defend themselves lest they get pilloried for such actions.

The police must be intimidated because if you’re trying to re-make America in the image of, say, Saudi Arabia...you don’t want police saving your ass from the thieves and thugs, recruited specifically to take over America while Americans shiver and do not fight back for the gain of a bad reputation.

Once the caliphate takes over America....Hillary, Obama, VALJAR....they will all be in charge.

And we shall be slaves of the caliphate, raped at their will, forced to wear burkas, beaten for being Christian.

Obama doesn’t really HATE America. He just loves the money the Muslims bring in.
