Amanda goes gaga when Cruz response with a Simpsons quote - seriously? Magna cum Laude double Ivy Harvard Law Constitutional Scholar Cruz is at his best quoting the Simpsons?

Now I am open to discussing whether I am a hypocrite for liking Scott Adams' Dilbert cartoons. But that is because he so perfectly captures the banality of modern bureaucratic life - like life taken up with idiot staff briefings where the fearless leader is at his best when he quotes the Simpsons.

Perhaps the Simpsons relieves the audience from Cruz's otherwise maudlin or - worse - sententious observations.

Not verified, but thrown out there so that Cruz supporters can verify them OR show them to be false.
