Did 2016 Republican Presidential contender Ted Cruz pay Carly Fiorinas campaign to keep her quiet about an affair? Its unlikely, but Twitter speculation abounds.
Chatter about the scandal stems entirely from a National Enquirer story that hit newsstands March 25, alleging Cruz had affairs with five women. The Enquirer ran pixelated headshots of five women that the tabloid claims had affairs with Cruz. One of the headshots appears to be of Carpenter, but theres no evidence to back up the Enquirers report. A Ted Cruz-affiliated Super PAC, Keep the Promise I, donated $500,000 to rival Carly Fiorinas presidential campaign in July 2015.
The Washington Post noted that the donation was unusual at the time, but Twitter and the National Enquirer claim to have a key piece of context: Cruz was having an affair with Fiorina staffer Sarah Isgur Flores.
The Enquirer claims that Cruz cheated on his wife with five different women over the course of his campaign. While the Enquirer pixelated the photos it ran with the story, Twitter sleuths posting at #CruzSexScandal have claimed to unravel a few of the mysteries:
Sarah Isgur Flores, in the center of the supposed de-pixelated photos above, worked for the Fiorina campaign during the 2016 election. As goes the theory, when Fiorina found out about the affair, Cruz silenced her with a half-million-dollar donation.
It bears repeating that no one has proof of anything, and Fiorina has herself endorsed and campaigned with Cruz since ending her campaign. Moreover, a photo from Floress Twitter shows Fiorina and the Cruz family being quite friendly:
Its also important to note that the allegations come on the heels of a heated Twitter spat between Cruz and Donald Trump about the use of each others wives on the campaign trail,
What explanation is needed?
Super PACs are legally allowed to give money to other super PACs - they are only prohibited from donating directly to any political campaign.
There’s no “there” there.
"Folks who think that they are special and that rules do not apply to them. I see none of that in Cruz."
Where is the concept of 'proof or logic' in your second statement? There really isn't any. It's your 'sense', and it's what you want to believe.
I'm not offering that as proof he's guilty of anything. Only that you must have an inordinate lack of humility when it comes to judging character if you can say this about a politician you've only experienced through the media and staged political exposition.
Ever been really burned by a liar or sociopath? It doesn't make you cynical, it just installs a special sensor. It's accurate but not totally accurate - but it contains a memory of little mannerisms, inflections, word choices, speech patterns and styles that make the little 'deception' meter register. I'm pretty sure mine's not going to be wrong, and yours is going to be more accurate when this is all over.
Mostly, I just wanted to point out that what you are relying on is not facts and logic - and yet you chided Cruz's detractors for just that. For many of them, including me, what's coming out about Cruz confirms suspicions we have had long before anything came out negative about him - that he's inauthentic and misrepresenting whatever is inside him in some way. It may not seem like it, but we are not 100% sure it's true, otherwise we wouldn't be talking about it and hashing it out here, no one does that once something is concluded.
Cruz denied that trash piece by the National Enquirer, and as far as last year’s $500k transfer from one PAC to another, there’s nothing required from Cruz on that, since the transfer didn’t come from his campaign.
Non eligible, not Natural Born Citizen, Cuban-Canadian, Pinocchio Ted attacking Big Donald at CNN freestyle match.
Cruz "character":
1. Phony summonses mailed out, scaring people to vote for Cruz.
2. Claiming Carson quit, presinc captains told voters "vote for Cruz"
3. Campaigning in the 800 churches, showing video "vote for me" with his preacher/father stomping for him. Rafael Cruz is a Seven Mountain Dominionist and believes his son is the anointed one.
4. "Brilliant" lawyer, did not know he was Canadian citizen and that he is not Natural Born Citizen, not eligible for office of P or VP.
5. Making phony video advertising with lies about opponents.
Just enough to beat Trump in IA, apologize, rinse and repeat?
Liar is the polite term for this Cuban. His father was pro-communist in Cuba, imprisoned by Batista, but now he is refugee?
IRREFUTABLE AUTHORITY HAS SPOKEN
(Oct. 18, 2009) The Post & Email has in several articles mentioned that the Supreme Court of the United States has given the definition of what a "natural born citizen" is. Since being a natural born citizen is an objective qualification and requirement of office for the U.S. President (and VP), it is important for all U.S. Citizens to understand what this term means.

Trump was endorsed by David Duke....your point is?
True, but laws get broke ....
Nonsense ...so if the GOPe steals it from Trump and installs one of their puppet candidates, and then they put Cruz on as veep , will you support it ?
Not on stage with hand on shoulder. Not at a trump campaign event where he was called the fulfillment of a Mormon prophecy
If teds continuing association with Beck which has been long standing in nature doesn’t bother you then either you too are Mormon or you have logic problems. Trump did not ask for Dukes endorsement and denounced it multiple times
If you can’t see the point perhaps you need a pair of new glasses
If Trump isn't on the ticket are you pulling the lever for Hillary, staying home, or writing in Trump? They all result in President Clinton.
Illegalities? What about improprieties?
Heck, having an affair isn't illegal, but if someone is claiming to be devoutly religious and then does that, that's an example of rank hypocrisy.
And hypocrisy isn't illegal either, of course.
And, of course, the fact the transfer of $500,000 from a Cruz related super-PAC to a Fiorina related super-PAC (while one of these alleged mistresses is working there) might not be illegal doesn't mean that there isn't some 'splainin' to do.
It looks pretty weird, offhand.
I haven't heard a decent explanation.
Have you?
The details, either exculpatory or incriminating, are going to drip out over the coming days.
Given the clear evidence that the Rubio campaign was shopping this, and that it's been bubbling beneath the surface for months, I think it's unlikely that Donald Trump had anything material to do with the story, and probably equally unlikely that Cruz is a serial cheater.
But there's really not enough information to draw any conclusions at the moment.
Maybe all of the evidence either way will remain merely circumstantial.
But I doubt it.
I am getting the impression that the Cruz marriage isn't particularly cozy, and there's probably a reason for that...
If they steal it , i’ll write in Trump ...the GOPe knows what will happen if they steal it .. they want Hillary over Trump ...backing Cruz will insure that victory for Hillary ..Trump or bust
,
Ted Cruz just released a statement saying he has no desire to copulate with Carly Fiorina.
I, for one, believe him.
.
The FEC required an explanation.
The Trumpanzees just get sleazier and sleazier.
And the answer to your question is no. Now, you know better, so stop peddling this slimy, dishonest meme.
Donald Trump is a slimy jerk.
I vote for conservatives. If there is a conservative on the ticket I will vote for it. Kasich is not a conservative.
You sound like a 7 year old asking folks to believe about the monster in the closet. LOL
